Chip N Trace was formed in 2006 to satisfy demand for
the upsurge in bicycle thefts in the UK. During the first year 350
chips were sold, purely by supplying local bicycle shop in our local
area. Of these 350 bikes that were tagged, 15 were stolen at some
point during the first year. 14 bikes were recovered safely by the
Police. The last bike must have been destroyed or sold as parts.
Following this success, we decided to roll the same system out to other
bicycle shops, along with other markets that we were looking to explore. |
